These terms cover the text messages Jesse sends, and, once you sign up, the service itself. Jesse is an AI receptionist for contractors and trade businesses, run by Left Join Studio Inc.
SMS terms: what we text, and how you sign up
The program is called Jesse setup links. You get a text only when you ask for one: you talk with Jesse, on our demo line or on the demo page, and it asks: "It's one text from Jesse, by Left Join Studio, with your setup link. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out. Okay to send?" It texts you only if you say yes.
The text holds a link to set up your free month. It isn't an ad, and agreeing to it isn't a condition of buying anything.
Starting your free month on the demo page with your email doesn't send any texts. We email you a code instead, and you set up right there.
How often
One message each time you ask. We don't send recurring or marketing texts.
What it costs
We don't charge for the text. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
Stopping, and getting help
Reply STOP to any message and we won't text that number again. Reply START to undo that. Reply HELP for help, or email hey@leftjoinstudio.com.
Carriers
Mobile carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
How we handle your number is in the privacy policy. The short version: we don't sell it or share it for marketing.

Who you're dealing with
Jesse is an AI receptionist for contractors and trade businesses, run by Left Join Studio Inc. "We" means us. "You" means you and the business you sign up.
The free month
Your first 30 days are free, up to 500 minutes of calls. We don't take a card to start. When the free month or the minutes run out, your line stops answering until you subscribe.
One free month per business and per mobile number.
Your phone number
When you press the button below, we rent a local phone number for you. It costs us money every month, so please only sign up if you mean to try it.
The number is ours to lend, not yours to keep. If your free month ends without a subscription, or your subscription ends, we give the number back to the phone company around its next monthly renewal, and it may go to someone else. Don't print it on anything you can't change. Forward the line you already have to it instead.
What the receptionist does, and doesn't
It's software. It answers calls, takes messages, and books jobs when you've switched that on. It can mishear people and get things wrong, so read the summaries it emails you and call people back yourself on anything that matters.
It isn't an emergency service. It doesn't call 911 or dispatch anyone.
Recording and your callers
Every call is transcribed, and the receptionist tells callers it's a virtual assistant and that the call may be recorded and transcribed before they say anything. Don't turn that greeting off.
You're responsible for using the service lawfully where you and your callers are, including any rules about recording calls and contacting people.
Fair use
Don't use it for spam, robocalls, harassment, or anything illegal. We can switch off a line that's being used that way, without notice.
Paying
If you subscribe, Stripe bills you monthly for the plan you pick. Each plan includes a number of call minutes each billing month:
- Base is $149 a month with 300 minutes, then $0.50 a minute.
- Mid is $249 a month with 750 minutes, then $0.40 a minute.
- Top is $499 a month with 2,000 minutes, then $0.30 a minute.
Minutes count from the start of each billing month, and each call rounds up to the next whole minute. Your line keeps answering after the included minutes are used, and the minutes past them are billed at your plan's rate on your next bill. We email you at 80% and 100% of your minutes.
You can switch plans from your dashboard. A switch takes effect right away, and Stripe adjusts the charge for the rest of the month. You can cancel any time from your dashboard, and the line keeps answering until the end of the month you paid for.
Your information
The privacy policy says what we keep and why. Email hey@leftjoinstudio.com and we'll delete your account and its call records.
No guarantees
The service is provided as is. We work to keep it answering, but we don't promise it will never miss a call, go down, or make a mistake.
We aren't liable for lost business, lost profits, or other indirect losses. Whatever happens, the most we owe you is what you paid us in the three months before it.
