Forward your calls to Jesse
Setup help
Keep the number your customers already call. Your phone company sends those calls on to your Jesse number, and Jesse picks up. Sign in and open this page from your dashboard, and the codes below will have your number in them.
Pick one
What most people pick
Only the calls you miss
Your phone rings first like it always has. If you don't pick up, you're on another call, or the phone is off, Jesse answers instead of voicemail.
For busy days
Every call
Your phone doesn't ring. Every call goes straight to Jesse, which takes the message and emails it to you.
Before you dial
- Dial from the line you're forwarding: your cell for a cell, the office phone for the office line.
- Type the code into the keypad like a phone number and press call. Wait for the beep or the message that says it's on, then hang up.
- Use all ten digits of the number, with no 1 in front and no dashes.
- Not sure who your carrier is? It's whoever sends the bill for that line.

- Missed calls
Ask whoever runs your phones, your IT person or your phone vendor, to add your number as an outside number and send calls to it. Most people start with unanswered calls from a ring group and calls after hours.
- Every call
They can also make it the menu option callers press ("press 0 to reach the office") or send it every call.
Ask them to keep the caller's own number on forwarded calls, not your main number.
The help page Use it with your phone system covers the rest. It's written to send straight to your phone person.
To turn it off, they take the number back out.
Test it
Call your business line from someone else's phone and let it ring. Jesse should pick up. If you call from your own phone, Jesse knows it's you and talks to you as the owner, so a friend's phone is the way to hear what your customers hear.
If it doesn't work
- Voicemail still answers. On an iPhone, turn off Live Voicemail in Settings, under Apps, Phone. It picks up before the phone company can forward the call.
- The code gives an error. Check that you dialed from the right line and used ten digits. On a cell phone, turn off Wi-Fi calling and try again. Your carrier's support line can always turn it on for you.
- Forwarded calls use minutes. Most plans count a forwarded call like any other call. Unlimited plans don't notice.
Stuck? Email hey@leftjoinstudio.com with your carrier's name, and we'll walk you through it.
