Forward your line
Keep the number your customers already know, and have your phone company send its calls to Jesse.
- Sign in, open the menu at the top right, and pick How to forward your line. The codes on that page have your Jesse number filled in. (The forwarding page works without signing in too, with a blank where your number goes.)
- Decide which calls to send:
- Only the calls you miss. Your phone rings first. Jesse answers when you don't pick up, you're on another call, or the phone is off. Most people start here.
- Every call. Your phone doesn't ring, and every call goes straight to Jesse.
- Find your phone company on the page. It's whoever sends the bill for that line.
- From the line you're forwarding, dial the code like a phone number and press call. Wait for the beep or the message that says it's on, then hang up.
- Call your business number from someone else's phone and let it ring. Jesse should pick up.
To stop forwarding, dial the Turn off code for your phone company on the same page.
Does your office have a business phone system, managed by an IT person or a phone vendor? The codes won't work from it. Send them Use it with your phone system instead.
If it doesn't work
- Voicemail still answers. On an iPhone, turn off Live Voicemail in Settings, under Apps, Phone. It picks up before the phone company can forward the call.
- The code gives an error. Check that you dialed from the right line and used all ten digits, with no 1 in front. On a cell phone, turn off Wi-Fi calling and try again.
- Still stuck? Email hey@leftjoinstudio.com with your phone company's name, and we'll walk you through it.
